    Fred knows that is more to a company than just numbers:

    “One of my greatest strengths is the ability to do a quick read of where a
    business has been and where it’s going.  I absorb that information by
    interviewing key employees, reviewing the owner’s aspirations for the
    company, and helping owners pinpoint what they need.  I do a lot of
    counseling and coaching along the way, as I help the company develop
    forward-looking financial statements.”  

    Before he began assisting Richard Henry Group clients to achieve financial
    accountability, Fred was vice president of finance at a $100 million wholesale
    distribution company.  He directed operations to balance cash flow and
    receivables with inventories. Managed the financial and human resources of the
    company, and tackled many of the challenges he now helps RHG’s clients with.  

    He negotiated:
  • an increase to a bank line of credit from $18 million to $26 million,
  • reduced customer days’ outstanding and interest-carrying charges by 1%,
  • and negotiated an 8-10% reduction in insurance premiums.

    As assistant controller, he produced budget and cash flows for its business plan
    and oversaw the successful implementation of accounting modules from the JD
    Edwards software.  

    In his spare time, Fred serves as president of the Board of Directors at Deepwood  
    Industries, a $20 million nonprofit that provides work services for the clients of the
    Lake County Board of MR/DD.  In his function, he helps oversee the entire
    accounting operation and administers capital equipment purchases, materials
    management, business insurance, employee benefits, and contracts for outside
    services.  

    Fred holds a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from Lake Erie College and currently lives in
    Mentor, Ohio.
